The Wardrobe Walk

A highly personal memorial set on a private bush property in outback New South Wales, created for a woman defined by style, courage and her wonderfully dry sense of humour.

A stark white runway cuts through the red earth. Family, friends and a small cast of models walk to her favourite songs, wearing pieces from the extraordinary wardrobe she collected over a lifetime. Each look is introduced through a brief story - drought summers, snake encounters, pony club days, resilience, and an unapologetic love of beauty.

As daylight fades, guests gather at long tables beneath the trees for seasonal food and local wines. Family films and photographs are projected onto suspended linen.

Later, guests are invited to choose one of her garments to take home, allowing her personal style and the stories held within them, to continue through the people she loved. The evening closes around a bonfire, with no formal ending - only people lingering beneath the stars until they are ready to say goodbye.
