ABOUT
gone. is a design led studio working across funerals and memorials
For more than two decades I have worked where the pressure is absolute, because nothing can be done twice.
The ARIA Awards.
Netflix Wednesday Season 2 launch on Cockatoo Island.
New Year's Eve live broadcast.
Vivid Sydney.
Brisbane Lord Mayor's Christmas Carols broadcast nationally on Nine.
Chiswick restaurant pop-up at Splendour in the Grass music festival.
The Australian newspaper’s 60th anniversary at The Australian Museum, attended by every living Australian Prime Minister.
Major national conferences for Telstra and Optus including a keynote with James Cameron.
Brands including American Express, Apple, RM Williams, Tiffany, Van Cleef & Arpels, Sony Foundation, NBA, TikTok, Spotify and News Corp.
Along the way, the stages have included Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Lady Gaga, Robbie Williams, Sia and so many more.
At one point I was delighted to realise I had produced nearly every major awards show in the country. What connects all of it is simple. A moment shaped with genuine intention lands differently. People feel it, even when they can't say why.
The idea for Gone. arrived in pieces, over years.
A scene in a film. A eulogy that said nothing true about the person it was meant to honour. And the slow realisation that this - not the awards shows, not the broadcasts, not the brand launches - was the work I had been moving toward all along.
Gone. exists because a farewell deserves the same intention as any other significant moment in a life. Because the people we lose deserve to be seen. And because the people left behind deserve to leave feeling something other than bereft.
Gone. is not a funeral home.
Gone. is not a production company.
Gone. is a creative studio for
contemporary farewells.
We work with families and individuals across funerals, memorials and celebrations of life shaping the experience from arrival to departure, managing every supplier, and leading the process with calm clarity from the first call through to the day itself.
Every decision about the tone, the structure, the storytelling, the details - sits with us. We take care of everything.
Because no two lives are the same. No farewell should be either.
